Japacks role in achieving the SDGs
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were unanimously adopted by the 2015 member states of the United Nations in September 9. We believe that it is a social responsibility for companies to actively participate in the SDGs in order to achieve the goals.
Japacks is a manufacturer that primarily produces products using polyethylene, a petroleum-derived raw material, but since its founding, it has offered environmentally friendly products, including recycled and resource-saving products.
We will continue to align our management philosophy, policies, and strategies with the goals set out in the SDGs, contribute to the creation of a decarbonized society, and ultimately pursue and act to improve the happiness of all stakeholders related to our company.
Japacks SDGs Flower Model: A Look into the Future
In October 2020, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, in cooperation with relevant ministries and agencies, formulated the "Green Growth Strategy for Carbon Neutrality by 10."
We believe that by instilling the SDGs into every aspect of our management, we can create a virtuous cycle for the economy and the environment, and take on the challenge of achieving our further future goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. The business model we created to achieve our goal of "management that creates value for a bright and peaceful future for people" is the "Japacks SDGs Flower Model."
As a manufacturer that aims to build a waste-free society through plastic bags, we will work to increase our corporate value by implementing the Japacks SDGs Flower Model, which leverages partnerships, which is Goal 17 of the SDGs.

Provision of relief supplies, etc.
Up until now, Japacks has provided a variety of its own products, including plastic bags, during disasters and other emergencies.
